The Origin of Remembrance

We call our service “Remembrance” because we want to put the words of Jesus at the forefront. “Do this in remembrance of me.” When the Hebrews were led out of Egypt, they were told to “remember this day” the Lord brought them out of Egypt. It is with this understanding that we remember what Jesus has taught us to do, to love God will all our soul, heart, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. The greatest commandment teaches us to love God, but we can only love God if we remember how faithful He has been.

Our Mission

At Remembrance, we seek to receive God’s daily bread and share it with the people around us. Just as Jesus gave thanks and multiplied the fish and the loaves, it was with the simple act of faith that fed over 5,000 men, women, and children. At Remembrance, we seek to share our stories and the testimonies that God has showered upon us as individuals. At Remembrance, we remember who God is for what he has done in our individual lives, and in our communities lives. This is Remembrance.

“This is my body which is [broken] for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” [...] “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me”
(1 Corinthians 11:24-25)
